This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember a time you received a birthday gift from your teacher and how special that made you feel? This birthday gift would include colorful pens, glitter pens, a birthday pencil, pencil sharpener, a notepad, birthday stickers, and a birthday ribbon.

Our school is located in a low-income neighborhood.

We are a Title 1 campus with over 900 students. I have twenty-one sweet children, most of whom qualify for free lunch. Some of my students attended Pre-Kindergarten while others are away from their mom for the first time. Since my students are obsessed with writing the letters in their name, notepads and pencils would be a great gift.

My Project

I want to celebrate my students and give them the gift of literacy. My students will receive fun glitter pens, a birthday pencil, pencil sharpener, birthday sticker, colorful pens, and a memo pad. This is a birthday gift that won't break any nutritional state laws at the same time it will provide my students the tools they need to write.
