Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are curious, creative, and full of energy! They are 3, 4, and 5 years old and attend preschool in a low-income city. Many of them come from diverse cultural backgrounds and speak more than one language. Some have disabilities and benefit from hands-on, sensory-rich activities that support their developmental growth.
With these materials, my students will have daily opportunities to create, collaborate, and problem-solve.
The rolling cart will help us keep everything organized and make it easier for kids to access supplies independently. These tools will allow my students to experiment with texture, color, and shape while also strengthening their fine motor skills and fostering independence.
Despite the challenges they face outside the classroom, they arrive each day ready to learn, explore, and create. Their enthusiasm for discovery is contagious, and they thrive when given opportunities to express themselves through art and play.
