Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The use of movement is powerful for student to stay engaged and learn at their full potential. In order to achieve this, the use of the scooters and recess equipment will allow my students the opportunity to explore intentional movement breaks in their day of learning. My students would benefit from the use of the seat bands to offer a silent fidget as they focus on academics.
My students learn differently because they are all unique and special in their own ways.
Our classroom is primarily ASD students, who thrive on sensory and movement. The use of the different items in the recess equipment set with a ball pump will allow my students and to work on their fine motor skills, socialization, and movement.
My goal is to provide more resources and variety in movement breaks for my students throughout the day. My students need adaptive activities and require constant moving to stay focused. By providing them chair bands, scooters, and much more it will allow my students to engage in their academics at a different level.
