Help me give my students book options to add to our library and read in class. I have seen growth in fluency and comprehension due to the book groups that are happening during practice station.

My Students

I have a classroom of fourth graders who love to learn.

My students love to dive into a good book. I have students who love to read and discuss novels during practice stations. The books have lead to great discussions about life and real-world experiences.

My students are at the age where they want to be kind, but sometimes lack the skills. The picture books will teach us to be kind to others and have empathy towards friends new and old.

My Project

The books I have chosen will help students for many years to come. I will add the books to our growing library which is used by students everyday.

Learning to love a good book will instill the love of reading for my students.

I love to hear the excitement when my students are talking about their book, or want to read ahead because they can't put the book down. I have also noticed it builds unity within the classroom.

The books will also help increase comprehension skills and fluency. Students don't realize how much they are learning when they are enjoying a good story!
