My Students

My students are middle school students of great diversity from a low income urban area with a large percentage of special needs students. Each year 90% of my students qualify for free or reduced-priced lunches. My students have so much to offer, and I would love to offer a positive environment for them to feel success in learning.

Students feel empowered by having some degree of choice and control over their environment.

It’s clear that learning environments can have a direct impact on student achievement. I would love to empower my students by any means possible.

My Project

Our district is planning on returning to start a hybrid model. Our school has a 40% special education population. It is my heartfelt wish to keep all of these children safe and healthy. With these supplies, this is more possible.

Keeping our classroom as clean as possible will be so helpful to the social emotional health of my students.

Not having to worry about getting sick will help my student with special needs concentrate on the curriculum and enjoy being together.

It is critical for this population. More supplies of face masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer are necessary.
