This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Remember when you were a kid learning handwriting? It was boring, disconnected and frustrating! There's a new curriculum called Handwriting Without Tears that makes learning proper letter formation interesting and FUN!
My students have amazing stories in their heads - but are lacking the handwriting skills to share them with others.
They just need the opportunity to learn how to form letters properly so when they create books they are easy to read. Our school serves a diverse population of high-poverty students. Many of my students come from families that fluent in writing in English.
My Project
Recently, I've noticed that many of my students have been frustrated by the fact that their friends cannot read the books they create. I would like to use the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum as a tool to help them become better authors. When you're created something that is well-made, do you feel proud? Well, my students are the same way! I'd like them to not only love the content of the books they are creating but the appearance of them, too.
This curriculum will assist in an easy, fun way to learn proper penmanship.
Please help my little authors develop handwriting skills to last a lifetime! These skills not only will help in school, but to fill out job applications and writing college papers!
