My Students
As a teacher in a special education self-contained classroom in a low-income school district, my students are faced with challenges inside and outside of the classroom. Despite the many challenges that my students are facing, I am looking to provide them with a fun, interactive, and meaningful learning environment.
My students have a multitude of needs including physical, cognitive, medical, fine motor, sensory, and communication.
They love learning through a multitude of different means such as sensory activities. They learn best though creative and sensory activities.
My Project
Handwriting is a critical part of education and being able to work in the future. These materials are all part of the handwriting without tears curriculum for the students. The CD's will be used to get the students up and moving and provide them with an opportunity to learn through movement. The magnets and other materials will be used during center time and allow them to learn through a variety of activities. The student books and teacher manual will be used to provide the students with appropriate learning.
Handwriting at a young age is developed over time.
There is a specific order that students need to learn their letters and how to write them.
