Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our goal is to provide a place for students to practice automatically writing letters and words with correct letter formation and neatness. When students are able to do this automatically, they are able to focus their working memory on spelling, punctuation, sentence structure, and the overall organization of their writing piece.
We will use these notebooks with our 2nd graders to support daily practice of the handwriting skills we are teaching.
We will practice these skills at the letter, word, and sentence levels. Students will have a place to look back at their writing and see how it has progressed throughout the year.
