My Project

As I prepare for my second year in first grade, I want to ensure my students have the best chance for success. To achieve this, I would like to implement a variety of CVC word centers at the start of next year.

These centers will reinforce what the students learned in kindergarten in a fun and engaging way.

Since we are using the HMH Into Reading curriculum, which begins with CVC words, these centers are essential for their success in first grade.

I plan to introduce these centers in small groups to ensure understanding, and they will later be available for students to use during rotations. These activities will be integrated into my READS rotations, focusing on E-engage in word work and A-apply skills. This format will not only enhance their literacy, but also promote essential social skills as they learn together.
