it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are bright, curious, and eager to learn—especially when they can connect learning to real-life experiences. They come from diverse backgrounds and face different challenges, but they all deserve opportunities to explore their own well-being in meaningful ways.
With fingertip heart rate monitors, my students will collect real-time data to see how their heart rate responds to breathing and calming techniques.
Instead of just learning about stress management in theory, they’ll have tangible proof of how mindfulness and deep breathing can positively affect their bodies. This hands-on approach will make our lessons on wellness, self-regulation, and science more engaging and impactful.
These monitors will help my students develop healthy habits while building their understanding of data collection and analysis. Your support will give them the tools they need to take charge of their well-being and succeed in and out of the classroom.
