This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This is the most important year of my students' lives since it is their very first experience with school. Covid-19 has impacted my students in a different way as they have not had many social experiences prior to attending school. This has a huge effect on starting school and not knowing what it is like outside of the home.
My students are from a variety of ethnic backgrounds and socioeconomically backgrounds.
This is their first-ever experience with education and it is my job to make the transition from home to school the best one they ever have.
My Project
With our new normal of periodically having to move our classes to distance learning. I would love to have these tools to send home with my students to make sure they have hands-on learning at home.
The Magic Boards, take-home pouches, and other items I am requesting will allow me to send home tools for my students to use while completing their assignments.
These tools will also be available for me to change out each time we need to move to learn at home. Having these tools available will enhance their learning experience at home and help their parents with completing assignments.
Having the ability to provide these tools to my students will be great assistance in helping them continue to learn while being at home.
