My students need a variety of fidget toys to provide them with multi-sensory activities that will improve their focus and keep them calm when they feel anxious. My students have special needs and work best with hands-on materials that provide stress relief also. My goal is for them to use these materials during and outside of our class instructional times.
Each student will get a baggie of a variety of fidget toys that work best to provide sensory opportunities them during class time as well as soothe them when over stimulated.
The multiplication tables will allow the students to work on their math facts. The ziplock bags will be used to house the sensory kits I am making for my students. In addition, they will provide them with a method to organize and transfer the fidget toys from the classroom to the resource room.
