This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

STEM is an important part of early learning. Children learn so much about the application of scientific principals through hands on and active experience. The Newton's pendulum is an intriguing way to learn about force while inspiring student interest in a calming visual. The visual experience watching plant growth and the observation of metamorphosis in the butterfly is spectacular for first hand life science. Exploring texture and shapes with the sensory beads inspires abstract thinking and tactile interactions. The small space table is needed for this center with an academic theme. Finally, picture books and beginning science readers will add to the opportunity in developing the love of books in my stuents.
