My Students

We are a public charter school that services students from several neighboring areas in DFW. Our K-2 program is focused on building 21st-century learners not just through academics, but with an emphasis on social-emotional learning as well.

We truly focus on teaching the whole child!

Our students come from all different backgrounds, and together we use our diversity to form a deep respect and understanding of our social, emotional and academic needs. We are a family first and foremost and build our academics on that foundation.

My Project

Kindergarteners need hands-on activities to truly learn the academic, social and emotional skills required of them. We try to give them as many things as we can that they can touch, hold, manipulate and move.

We are in desperate need of the kinds of activities specifically for science, health and safety so we can create explorers in these fields!

The spring semester is a busy time for us exploring different science skills like health, life cycles, nutrition and safety. We love to learn about dental health and keeping our teeth and gums healthy by pretend brushing our teeth in class and learning how to floss. We will be using the ready made theme boxes and science centers to give students a hands-on approach to exploring the life cycle of a butterfly, farm animals and plants.

Students love the hands-on learning and teachers love the engagement these activities bring to our classroom!
