This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a science resource teacher at a school that services low-income families. The science tools being requested: trundle wheels, forceps, magnifying glasses, meter sticks, mats, timers and balloons, will allow the 450 students at our school experience science through a hands-on application. These tools are focused on nature of science standards, which for our demographic are in need of improvement based on standardized testing. These tools are the starting point to academic success and a love for science. They will help the students grow and gain better understanding of the world around them.
