Hands-on Science Projects for 6th and 7th Grade

My Project

These supplies will enhance student learning and allow them to engage in hands-on activities.

For the 6th graders, we are working on two exciting projects.

The first project involves creating monster models to help illustrate concepts in genetics. The second project will have the students growing fast plants to study inheritance.

For the 7th graders, they will be building volcano models to learn about volcanic eruptions and geological processes. They will also be doing a demo for plate tectonics. The crock pot will allow them to make candles during their states of matter unit, and will be a useful addition to other labs.

In addition to the materials for these projects, both grades will require note-taking supplies, such as pencils and highlighters, to document their observations and record key information throughout the lessons.
