it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Science study in Kindergarten provides children with a unique opportunity to explore the world around them. Please help me enhance my students' learning by providing hands-on science materials for our class.
Young children learn best when they are able to touch and manipulate real objects. I would like to create a science discovery center in our classroom, where my youngsters can explore scientific concepts first hand. To do this, I am requesting a donation of hands-on science materials that aid in the study of the following topics: My Body, Magnets, Nutrition, Life Cycles and The Five Senses. I will combine these science materials with books and writing supplies, so that my students can extend their learning through research and documentation. These materials are durable, so they will benefit many students in the years to come.
My school, Germain St. Elementary, is a multi-cultural, public school set in the San Fernando Valley. Our class includes both English and non-English speakers, as well as students with disabilities.
Children have a natural curiosity about science. You can help me to nurture that curiosity, and increase their understanding of science by providing these important supplies for my students!
