Help me give my students a hands-on way to recycle paper and see conservation in action.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Fields's classroom raised $220
This project is fully funded
My Project
Paper making is a process that can be traced back to the ancient use of layering papyrus plants in Egypt and the pressing of shredded textile waste (rags) in China. This recycling of cast-off or leftover textiles into paper, is one that can still be used today to recycle scrap paper.
Using these paper making resources, my students will experience the environmentally friendly process of recycling scrap paper that has built up in the classroom recycling bins.
The books will help them understand the relationship of our selves and our actions to our place in history. What we use and what we do has an impact on our environment. The recycling bins will help them thing carefully about their place in our world and their impact on it. Reduce our waste! Think twice before throwing something away. Maybe we can use it or renew it!
We are launching this project for Earth Day, but this eye for conservation will last the students a lifetime.
