My Students
We want to open our classroom to the world. I would like to introduce my students to a variety of cultures by doing video conferencing. With a projector, we will be able to have live discussions with other students. This projector will create enthusiasm for reading and writing in my classroom.
Or students are African American students from extremely low socio-economic neighborhoods.
Our school is located in the middle of a heavily gang-influenced area. The students are surrounded with drugs, violence, and poverty. Having the opportunity to visit more pleasant environments through video conferencing will be extremely beneficial in giving hope to the students.
My Project
My students are very visual learners. They have grown up in front of TV and video screens. Helping my students communicate through written and spoken language is a major goal of ours. Having a projector, which will allow us to share our writing and communicate orally and visually at the same time, will truly help my students succeed. We will be using the projector with my laptop to do video conferencing in the classroom.
Video conferencing will introduce my students to a variety of life styles and cultures they otherwise would not be able to experience.
They need to see that there is a whole different world outside their extremely poor and violent neighborhood.
