My Students
"You tricked me into learning!" This is my favorite phrase next to "I get it now!" My response is always, "You say that like it's a bad thing!"
I teach reading and social studies to 50 fifth grade students everyday.
Our reading block consists of independent work, centers with a partner, and small group time. They aren't just learning reading skills. They are also learning how to work well with others, patience, staying on task, etc.
My Project
I mentioned that our reading block consists of independent work, centers with a partner, and small group time. While I do create vocabulary and word study games for the students each week I would like to start including comprehension games into centers as well. We would also use these games for early finishers, during dismissal games, and rainy day recess days.
In fifth grade my students are still kids.
They love getting up to play games, and I love when they play educational games! It's a win-win for everyone! Thank you for your time and consideration!
