My Project

This is my first year teaching, and I’m excited to build a classroom where students feel empowered through hands-on, project-based learning. I’ll be teaching 7th grade geography and 8th grade science—two subjects that naturally spark curiosity when students can engage with the content in interactive ways. Whether it’s building models of ecosystems or using maps to explore how geography impacts human behavior, I want my classroom to be a space where learning feels relevant and exciting. The items I’m asking for will help create an environment that encourages exploration and creativity, rather than memorization and repetition.

Project-based learning helps students see that what they’re learning has real-world connections and value.

My goal is to show students that the material we cover isn’t just a requirement—it’s a foundation for their future success. I want them to see how science explains the world around them and how geography shapes the way people live. Many of my students will be encountering lab tools, maps, and critical thinking activities for the first time, and having the right resources will help make these subjects come alive. My students are special because they are curious, creative, and eager to learn when given the opportunity to do so in meaningful ways. I want to build a classroom where their natural curiosity is met with the tools they need to thrive.
