This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have a very high energy class that LOVES to talk, play, and compete against one another! As a first year teacher, I unfortunately don’t have very many games that they can grab to play with friends. When my kiddos have free time, they are quick to grab their iPads instead. I hope to build my classroom collection of games so they can actually PLAY with each other instead of always going for the technology option. Playing games allows them to communicate with each other, use actual manipulative, and get off the screen!

These games would also last a long time, so second graders could enjoy them for many years!
