My Project
In our self-contained classroom for students with autism, learning to read is a journey filled with small steps and big victories. Many of my students are beginning readers who benefit most from hands-on, visual, and repetitive learning activities. Phonics is the foundation of reading, and giving students access to engaging tools like flip books, magnetic letters, and matching games helps make abstract concepts like letter sounds and word-building more concrete and accessible.
With your help, we can provide targeted phonics materials that meet the unique learning needs of my students.
These resources offer more than just academic value—they empower my students to build confidence, strengthen communication, and engage more fully in literacy instruction. By using tactile and interactive tools, students can practice essential phonics skills in a way that works for them.
