My first graders are just so eager to learn this year. They gravitate towards hands on experiences and are constantly asking when they can do more. I want to be able to add some more hands-on experiences when we do our phonics lessons. The materials in this project are going to help greatly and the students will have their own supplies so we do not have to worry about sharing. These manipulatives will also help me to bridge the gap between hearing the sounds and writing the sound spellings, a transition that we have been struggling with.
