My students need 2 classroom xylophones to be used in music classes in grades Preschool-Sixth.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Sanders's classroom raised $609
This project is fully funded
I teach preschool-6th grade music at a wonderful elementary school in the northeastern kingdom of Vermont. The town is small and the area rural. While the community is supportive of my program, this does not extend to money - many families are quite poor.
I entered my new classroom this year and was disappointed to discover that the room was ill-equipped for my younger students. Through the generous donations of DonorsChoose.org donors, I was able to get my first project "Hand's on Music" funded for some hand-held percussion. I am asking for help with this project, Part 2, because my classroom is in need of more xylophones. We currently have three, but there are not nearly enough for the entire class to all play and many students have to wait numerous classes before they get a chance to play. It's even worse for concerts because entire grades are on stage, but only three students can play the xylophones at a time.
I would like to build up my inventory by getting two xylophones. While this won't solve the problem, it will include more students and get me on the way to building the inventory I need. By providing these instruments, you can help me enrich my students' music classes - we sing, we dance, and we experience music - but this is all incomplete without having instruments to play as well! Besides - Music should be Hands - On!!
Your generous donation will help ensure that my students will receive the well-rounded music education they so desperately deserve!
