My Project
My 2nd graders are bright, joyful, curious, and full of energy. Every day, they come to school ready to explore and create—despite the challenges many of them face outside the classroom. Our school serves an economically disadvantaged, racially diverse community, and I want my students to walk into our room each day and feel like they belong in a place that celebrates their brilliance.
The resources in this project were chosen with so much love and intention.
The logic games like Rush Hour and IQ Puzzler Pro will sharpen their problem-solving and reasoning skills—building those future engineer brains! Games like Spot It and Find It bring in visual perception and focus, while the Pixel Art Challenge and Building Blocks support spatial thinking, pattern recognition, and collaboration. The Kinetic Sand kits create a calm sensory station for students who need emotional regulation and stress relief throughout the day. And the classic games—Tic Tac Toe, Marble Run, Connect 4, and Shut the Box—let students practice communication, patience, and strategy without ever touching a screen.
These hands-on learning tools will make our classroom a space where students can think deeply, calm their minds, and feel successful.
My goal is to build up our collection of non-digital games and fidgets that fuel learning and wellness at the same time. Every game becomes a moment to connect, a chance to build confidence, and a way to practice important skills without the pressure of a worksheet.
My students deserve tools that reflect their brilliance and give them opportunities to shine. With your help, our classroom can be a sanctuary of joy, equity, and hands-on learning!
