My Project

In our classroom we use the workshop model in math. My students come to the rug with whiteboards for guided practice and to record modeled strategies before they work through stations around the room. The different hands on manipulatives will allow my students to have something other than whiteboards to show their thinking and understanding. This will also make learning our different math concepts hands on and fun.

By donating to our project, you will not only help give my students diverse math manipulatives to use in various lessons, you will help to increase their academic achievement during math workshop.

Students will be able to work in small groups or partnerships to conduct learning through hands on materials and games. The flexible seating will allow them to sit comfortably around the room while they learn.
