This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I provide services to students who live in our wonderful Harlandale ISD community. Students serviced are identified as Tier 2 and Tier 3 students in Mathematics. My students range from grades 1st through 5th. My day consists of servicing various small groups with hands-on instruction to bridge and close gaps.

My Project

Students have been greatly affected due to the Coronavirus, these resources will ensure students receive the best opportunity for growth. It is essential to teach math students through concrete means.

Manipulatives can provide a bridge between the concrete and abstract levels of many mathematical topics.

Manipulatives support student engagement and differentiation.

Manipulatives can give students ownership of their own learning. They provide a way for students to explain their thinking. To be successful in math, communicating their learning and ideas is one of the best ways to ensure success.
