Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students in my classroom come to school each day with a smile and an eager attitude to learn. These supplies will help me to provide them with an exceptional education!

The school that I teach in is a Title I school, located in Phoenix. The students who attend come from low socioeconomic homes. My school tries their best to bless each student with as many supplies as we can at the beginning of the year, since the families cannot afford to purchase them on their own. My school also provides free breakfast and lunch to each and every student. The light in the kids eyes as they learn is something I have never seen before. They truly love coming to school where they are able to learn and be loved at the same time. I want to continue to help give them the education they deserve!
My Project
This year I am back to teaching all subjects. I would love to provide more engaging and hands on math center work to my students.
I have asked for hands on math manipulative kits, as well as a teacher book that has fun ready-made activities.
I believe that the more hands on learning students are able to participate in, the better they learn. I would love for my students to be able to use these kits everyday during their math center time. I also believe that knowing math vocabulary is extremely important so I have asked for math flashcards to review each day!
