This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas." ~Albert Einstein A typical day begins with my students participating in math rotations. Each student works at their own level and pace while working with hands on materials and computers and in a small group direct instruction lessons.

My students are always eager to learn.

They enjoy working in small groups and having a voice and choice in regards to their individual learning goals and path. I try to encourage my students to work as partners with their classmates as well as with me to best achieve their goals. It is important to me that my students are given the opportunity to learn about new concepts in a variety of ways so that they stay engaged and make personal connections along their learning path.

My Project

My students will be using these math centers during their small group lessons as a part of their morning math rotations. The students will be encouraged to complete the tasks either on their own, with a partner, or as a small group. Many of my students are visual learners and these math centers and Math Folder Game Libraries will help them more thoroughly understand the math concepts that we will be working on in class.

My students will become more successful learners through the use of these Real-World Math Problem Solving Kits .

They will share ideas with their classmates and apply their knowledge to demonstrate their mastery of many math concepts and skills.
