Hands-On Math with a Purpose

My Project

The student population in our school district is very diverse. We currently have 70% of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch, 36% English Language Learners, and 11% with special education needs. I currently have 110 6th graders who are extremely active and in need of a variety of opportunities to have hands-on real world math activities.

HMS is focused on the belief that ALL children can and will learn.

With my current students, I feel the need to provide for real world understanding and extension. This will allow for differentiated learning for all students and multiple entries for engagement.
