My Students

All students learn differently. Some grasp concepts quickly, others look at me like I have 10 heads when I'm covering science and math concepts that are so abstract.

My students are the most amazing, adorable 1st graders anywhere.

They LOVE school and they love learning. Our school community is inner city, high-poverty with lots of struggles. But children everywhere need the same thing - to be met where they are and take baby steps toward their full potential.

My Project

These tools will allow children the opportunity for hands-on, kinetic learning. Students can practice observing, graphing, patterning, sorting, and classifying with actual manipulatives to help make concepts more concrete. These tools provide students the chance to take information I present and work with these independent learning centers until mastery occurs.

These materials give kids the chance to repeatedly practice abstract concepts with hands-on manipulatives.

Students will be able to see real-life applications of what had previously been only foreign ideas and unfamiliar vocabulary words.
