Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As an educator, I strive to create an engaging and supportive classroom environment where every student feels confident in their math skills. To help my students develop a love for learning math, I’m seeking your support to fund a variety of math games and resources that will make math both fun and engaging!
Using skill-based math games for small group practice, brings math to life!
In my classroom, we use small group centers to practice a variety of skills. This time can be used to tackle learning gaps or practice new skills. Using game-based learning allows me to meet students where they are, making learning personalized, interactive, and engaging.
We also need math reference tools like fraction, decimal, and percent tiles, to help make concepts more concrete which allows a deeper understanding of abstract concepts.
By making math fun through games, my students will not only build their skills but also gain confidence in their abilities. Thank you for helping to make math come alive both in my classroom!
