"Another math class??!!" My math intervention class not only need basic math skills, but motivation and fun activities to enjoy math.
My math intervention class is one period of students performing below grade level.
This is an additional math class to help them with their skills, while re/pre-teaching the curriculum. Most of the students have always had a difficult time with math and has become their least favorite subject.
My Project
I have requested math games, math picture books, and a class set of white boards. With games, class activities, group work, and class participation, I want my students to walk away with a new love for math and have motivation to do better in their regular math class. Not only do I want to improve their math skills, but also build their confidence that they are just as smart, or smarter, than other students when they walk into class.
Who wants to always feel behind, afraid to ask questions, or fall asleep taking boring notes?
This project will help me and my students have a successful year in math! Math is such an important subject to master and is used every day. Let's make it fun for my intervention class!
