This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Support Struggling Learners with Hands-On Algebra Tiles!
I am an academic interventionist working with small groups of struggling learners in a large elementary school.
I provide targeted math support to approximately 100 students who need extra help building foundational skills. Many of my students struggle with abstract mathematical concepts, and traditional instruction alone is not enough to bridge their learning gaps.
To help them succeed, I am seeking donations of algebra tiles powerful, hands-on tools that make algebra concepts more tangible. Algebra tiles allow students to visualize equations, explore number relationships, and develop a deeper understanding of math in an interactive way. By manipulating these tiles, students can gain confidence in solving equations, factoring expressions, and recognizing patterns, setting them up for long-term success in mathematics.
With your support, I can provide my students with the resources they need to engage with math in a meaningful way. Your donation will directly impact their ability to grasp essential algebraic concepts and build a strong foundation for future learning.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to support young learners in their mathematical growth!
