Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Each year, a new bunch of bright and eager children walk into my classroom, ready to explore, engage and learn. My students have different abilities, come from diverse backgrounds, and are dual language learners. One thing they all have in common is their innate ability to learn through play.
With hands-on materials, manipulatives and games, my students will be able to reinforce skills in math (numerical concepts, patterns, sorting, measuring and shapes) and literacy (letter identification, letter-sound connections, rhyming, alliteration and writing skills).
My students will be exposed to numbers, shapes, letters and more throughout the classroom. The materials I am seeking can be used in various interest areas such as: sand and water, toys and games and the art area.
