This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As second graders in South Phoenix we are creative, passionate, and determined in our learning. The art supplies listed are clay, markers, glue, scissors, and paint to bring creativity into learning. Most of our students are at school for 8 hours in classroom, which means it is important to provide a welcoming and safe space. The teardrop stool is one way to encourage focus during working periods, but also make students feel comfortable inside the classroom. Bandaids and Lysol wipes are necessities in any classroom to make sure students' health and safety are the number one priority.

The goal of this project is to put students onto a path of success.

Students' emotional, physical, and academic needs being met are essential to the learning outcomes. Lots of books were listed because students' love of reading needs to start young. The books all focus around manners, kindness towards others, and diverse perspectives and stories.
