Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This is a great group of kids who have had at least 5 different subs this year. I am finally their permanent teacher and this classroom needs some resources and supplies. These kiddos deserve the best chance at an education and I am working hard to get that to them!
I have recently moved to this school.
They are in need of good teachers willing to fight for their kids. This is what I'm doing and by helping me build my classroom you will be too. These kiddos are so passionate about learning despite their really rough start this year.
The students have limited access to technology and resources at home. We are a Title 1 school with over 90% of students on free/reduced lunch. My goal is to provide these kids with the best education I can give them. Technology and resources such as these will help me reach that goal.
My Project
Our funding has been cut and our students require differentiated learning. With being able to make copies and print resources, this limits what I am able to do with my students who are struggling and those who are advanced. With the materials I am asking for, I will be able to use my centers without making copies and continue to differentiate in small group for all learners. Students will benefit from working in pairs, independently, and in small group instruction with me.
Using hands on Manipulatives like these are extremely beneficial to students at this young age.
They need hands on items they can also learn from.
Our students need the best that we can give them, sometimes that help comes from the community we live in. It takes a village for sure, to help these kiddos become the future!
