Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school community is so diverse and full of love. Our students are funny, caring, smart, motivated, and compassionate little individuals. Though most of our students come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, that has never stopped them from giving it their all in the classroom.
It's amazing to see how much our students can accomplished when we provide a environment that fosters equity and promotes resiliency.
I've seen how far our kids can go, now it's time they go even further. Help me, help them.
My Project
My students will be able to use their hands to feel letters to build words, count to build number houses, and their whole bodies to play and learn to count. We will learn about life cycles and our environment with the butterfly dome while also practicing our observation skills and writing.
Children need an opportunity to get messy, make mistakes, and use hands on resources to learn.
That's is why I am asking for these hands on and engaging materials for my little learners. Not only will these materials help promote engagement, but my students will also be developing their fine motor skills and gaining strength through hands on activities.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
