Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Hands-on, hands-on, hands-on! That's what it's all about! My Pre-K students need a lot of this ! They would love to have more manipulatives in their classroom to make learning more fun!
My Pre-K class is comprised of 36 students.
It is split into a morning class and an afternoon class. Our school is a Title 1 school, and most of my students live in a low income area and the majority of them live in non-English speaking households. They are all very eager to learn and at this age love school! Some of them are quick to learn new material, but some seem to be struggling in mastering basic skills.
My Project
I am requesting learning materials that would assist my students in both language arts and math. The sequencing cards and the literature-based sequencing center will help my students learn how to sequence. The tactile letters will help my students learn to write their ABC's . The sorting hoops and pattern mats will assist my Pre-K in developing strong math skills.
My Pre-K students would greatly benefit from all the hands-on materials that I am requesting.
The materials will highly motivate and make learning more exciting! They would be used for my current students as well as my future early education students!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
