My Project
My students are very hands-on. These plasto-mounts of both harmful and beneficial insects will give them great opportunities to look and entomological specimens up-close without out fear of being bitten or stung and assurance that they will not destroy the specimen.
Students will be able to draw each specimen and learn certain anatomical insect features.
They will also be able to use these specimens for sight ID lab exams and for learning more about insect taxonomy. My students will thrill at the opportunity to hold these in their hands and pass them around for inspection.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
