My Project
This project is designed to help build a game bank of resources for our special needs students to practice their literacy skills in a fun and interactive way so that they can better apply those skills then into reading books and other information. The phonics games related to CVC words are some of the hardest concepts for our most struggling readers. These games will provide them the needed practice to boost their confidence as readers. While helping them last for a long time, through tough lamination and durable materials, the students will be able to use the materials as long as they are needing to practice.
The ultimate goal is to help students feel successful in learning how to read and understand the world around them through play.
Our students experience struggles in reading for a variety of reasons, many have ASD or a reading struggle like Dyslexia. Fun and games help ease our mental strains while making learning fun!
