This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Using hands-on manipulatives for our phonics stations is crucial for our students to be successful in reading. These decodable reading manipulatives will give them the opportunity to physically manipulate letters as they are producing the matching phonemes.

With this donation, we will be able to reach all levels of students in our classroom.

This includes students who are just beginning to identify letters and sounds, to students who are ready for vowel teams and digraphs.

Our goal is for these manipulatives to support our students in phonics and help them really grasp the skills being practiced. When our students begin to master these foundational skills, they are headed in the direction of being fluent readers!
