Hands-On Learning

My students need paints and brushes for art, books, games and manipulatives for language, math, and fine motor activities.

My Students

Help us learn with hands on materials and manipulatives. Children can learn many concepts and skills by playing with toys and with other children.

My students are 5 and 6 year old kindergarten kids in a small rural school in northern California.

They are learning many new concepts this year including the alphabet and numbers. Besides these concepts, they are learning social skills by playing and sharing manipulatives with other students.

My Project

With the materials in my project children will learn new concepts, practice small and large motor skills, and practice cooperation. With the Alphabet beads and Alphabet center children will get the hands on learning they need to feel confident in learning to read. The paint and play-doh will inspire them to be creative while improving their small motor skills. The toy cars and small blocks will be fun to play with and help promote cooperation.

Your help on this project will inspire the children in my classroom this year and for years to come.

These materials will help promote learning and mastering new skills and provide fun and creative materials to explore.
