Hands-on Learning

Help me give my students some hands-on learning materials! During the pandemic, many children were faced with limited access to educational resources, which is why play is now more important than ever!

My Students

This past year and a half has been like never before. Students have had to learn remotely and face their own individual challenges each day. With limited interaction and collaboration among their peers, students are facing challenges both emotionally and academically.

While we are back to in-person learning, students are still dealing with learning deficits brought on by the pandemic and I am looking for ways to keep my students engaged through hands-on learning materials.

I have been extremely lucky to have a class full of problem solvers who are also looking for ways to be engaged in more hands-on learning experiences. Each day may bring a new challenge, but Kindergarteners are a resilient and flexible group!

My Project

During the pandemic, many students were unable to attend preschool, which is not only a critical social component to child development, but also accounts for the learning deficits we are now seeing with in-person learning. By providing students with more hands-on learning materials, I can develop a more engaging learning environment for young learners. Help me give them access to phonics resources to support their development in becoming brave spellers and stronger readers. With these resources, I know my students will become more successful and confident in their learning abilities.
