Hands-on Learning

My Students

My students are highly motivated, hard-working, and dedicated to their academics. My students learn Digital Information Technology, Advanced Placement Computer Science Principles, and Advanced Placement Computer Science A.

We are a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) school.

Our school is a Marine Academy of Science and Technology and the only public magnet school in Florida that resides on a public university campus. Our classroom infuses STEM into the curriculum to allow students to have cross-curriculum, instruction that incorporates their core subject areas while providing students with critical thinking skills.

My Project

Our project is to request a few different items for our classroom MakerSpace. The 10 computer science books will be used by our students in AP Computer Science Principles and AP Computer Science A. These books are a great resource for students to learn more about computer science and break down complex topics in an easy to understand way.

Students creativity is important during the learning process.

The Filament will be used with our 3D printer so students can continue to design and print. The birthday pencils and stickers are a giveaway for students when its their birthday to add some birthday spirit and celebration. With our classroom button maker and Cricut some additional materials are needed and we have added it to this project. The extension cords will be used so students can continue to work from their laptops while recharging their device as they work.
