This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing! The school we are at is a Title I school in Phoenix, Arizona. We have a fantastic administration, wonderful teammates, and the best students! My students are very hard workers and also know how to have fun. I wouldn't trade them for anything. I love seeing their faces every morning.

My students have a desire to learn.

They always want to know more, learn more, do more, read more of everything. Our classroom is our own little family.

My Project

We have no science curriculum or science materials at our school. Every year when we go over circuits, we have to make them with yarn and foil. While this visual is okay to demonstrate how was circuit looks, it does nothing to help students understand how they work. Science is a hard concept to understand if you have nothing to physically manipulate.

By donating to our project, you will be gifting my students with a hands-on learning experience in science.

The magnetism kit will show student show to manipulate magnets and how magnetic forces work. The electricity kit allows students to create circuits that actually work to reinforce their science knowledge. This is something that can be reused every year.
