My Students
This is my first year of teaching! I am beyond blessed get my teaching career started in my hometown. I have 18 kindergartens in my class. My class is a mixture of high class, middle class, and goes all the way to some of them being reported homeless. All students receive free breakfast and lunch during the school year. Also, our school helps provide school supplies for those who are need. I love how each of my students are all so different in their own ways. All of my students are making my first year of teaching amazing. I cannot wait to make a positive difference in their lives.
My Project
A sensory table in the classroom will benefit every student. It will help students with fine motor skills, language development, problem solving skills, and social interaction. Some of my students have never felt sand, this will be a great way for students to able to feel/see the sand.
The sensory table will stimulate the students' senses: touch, smell, taste, movement, balance, sight and hearing.
I love hands on learning, that is why it is very important to have a sensory table in my classroom. I believe that having the sensory table in our classroom will be very beneficial to each of my students.
