My Project
My students are amazing, diverse learners with unique sensory and developmental needs. They thrive with hands-on, interactive activities that help them explore and understand the world around them. The items I am requesting— a light table sensory set, trays, and tactile liquid letters—will create a dynamic, sensory-rich learning experience, making abstract concepts more tangible and helping them engage in ways that traditional materials don’t always allow.
With these sensory tools, my students will strengthen their fine motor skills, improve letter recognition, and enhance their understanding of colors, patterns, and spatial awareness.
The tactile liquid letters will give them a hands-on way to learn the alphabet and begin forming words. The light table, combined with the trays and sensory set, will encourage exploration, focus, and creativity as they engage with colors, textures, and shapes.
My goal for this project is to support my students’ sensory needs while building foundational literacy skills in a way that’s exciting and accessible. These tools are not only fun but critical for their development and confidence in learning. This project will make a lasting impact by helping my students feel motivated and capable, allowing them to grow academically and socially.
