Hands-on Learning With Osmo

My students need two Osmo Genius Kits to explore math and literacy in an engaging, hands-on way.

My Students

My students are fun, compassionate, and curious young children. When they arrive at school in the morning, they race to the schedule, excited to find out what is on the agenda for the day. Every day is fresh, new, and exciting!

Our school is one of the most diverse in the district, and is located in a tight-knit community in the heart of San Francisco.

Many of my students' cousins, parents, and even grandparents have attended our school! The community bond shows through as students giggle, play, and learn together throughout the day.

My Project

Osmo is a collection of interactive iPad games that allow children to use tactile materials in combination with the iPad screen while exploring math and literacy concepts. For example, they may see a tangram combination on screen and have to build it on their desk. The program can then detect whether their combination matches the assignment.

Having these kits in my classroom would allow two pairs of students to collaboratively engage in high-quality tasks during math and literacy centers every day.

Osmo is an excellent STEM tool because it seamlessly connects math and technology while helping children master essential foundational skills. Thank you for bringing this innovative tool to my classroom!
